The TasteArchitecture brunch at Temple Court remains to this day the most unique, special and memorable experience of my New York life. The minute I saw pictures of this architectural hidden gem on the internet, I became obsessed of one day getting in. Mandeep Bedi managed to pull together something truly memorable. The moments I spent there made me feel really special. Her passion of New York architecture and good food is contagious.

Midnight in Paris was one of the most transportive culinary events I have ever experienced. In a gold dome that rested on top of the New York skyline- surrounded by candlelight and under the watchful gaze of the Empire State Building, we had course after course of exceptional food and wine. It was magical and immersive. I came in knowing that I will enjoy the evening, and left falling in love with New York all over again.

It was Paris in New York. Within a bronze dome nestled on the corner of the infamous NoMad hotel rooftop, 10 guests including myself enjoyed an evening of French cuisine with a 360° view of the New York skyline. The Cupola, a 1903 French Renaissance boîte located in New York’s garment district, is a Beaux-Arts showstopper. In this intimate alcove, we were treated to a 6-course Provençal-inspired gustatory feast crafted by NoMad Hotel Restaurant‘s own Chef Daniel Humm, the culinary mastermind behind Eleven Madison Park.

Inside the Cupola, it was Midnight in Paris. The moody midnight blue walls shifted its shading as the sun set behind Manhattan skyline. A tasteful arrangement of white roses and lilies sat center of a round mahogany table, surrounded by countless wine and champagne glasses. Each glass lustrously reflected the soft tea lights and lambent
glow of a singular brass chandelier. Under the ambient gaze of the Empire State Building, we used up all the glasses one by one, each thoughtfully paired with Laurent-Perrier champagne for each course. It was a magical evening, filled with conviviality and romance. We had all forgotten that it was only a Thursday.

Creative Director

Under the direction of founder and creative director Mandeep Bedi, TasteArchitecture has become one of New York’s most sought-after boutique event firms. Originally from London, Mandeep was greatly influenced by her life in Lyon, France. Between her first culinary experience at the renowned French Master of Gastronomie, Chef Paul Bocuse and the architecture of the secret passageways “Les Traboules” that weave throughout Old Lyon, she developed a passion for architecture, history, cultural heritage, and cuisine. As a New Yorker with a European sensibility, she is always hunting for obscure, forgotten treasures, constantly visualizing and reinventing the dining experience.

A world-traveler and historian at heart, Mandeep’s first love is architecture and food. This love affair is reflected in her artistry and creative vision. She designs unique, multi-sensory experiences for her clients whether it be curating a Midnight in Paris-inspired dinner party in a 1903 French Renaissance Cupola or finding a beautiful abandoned architectural gem. Beautiful architecture and exquisite cuisine anchor her day-to-day living. She designed her own Manhattan office to look and feel like a boutique Parisian hotel, a constant source of inspiration for her event design.

Midnight in Paris

TasteArchitecture hosted an exclusive dining experience in The Cupola, a beautifully restored copper dome that crowns the rooftop of a historic French Renaissance style building constructed in 1903. In this intimate architectural alcove, TasteArchitecture recreated Midnight in Paris. Guests enjoyed an exquisite six-course tasting menu crafted by Chef Daniel Humm, the culinary mastermind behind The NoMad Hotel and Eleven Madison Park. Each course was carefully paired with champagnes from Laurent-Perrier, white and red wines from Joseph Drouhin and Coudoulet de Beaucastel.

Temple Court

TasteArchitecture was the first company to host an event in the Atrium of this beautiful architectural hidden gem in Manhattan. This architectural treasure was abandoned and mostly shuttered since 1940. It has been referred to in the media as “the most beautiful Atrium in New York City”. TasteArchitecture created an exclusive one-day only event at Temple Court where guests enjoyed a winter champagne brunch with vintage brut Laurent-Perrier champagne and experienced an architectural tour led by the building historian.
